Step 4: A package for your tax advisor
On the cut-off date the package is ready: receipt images with suggested journal entries in the format your tax advisor uses, for example DATEV Unternehmen online or CSV. Nothing goes out until you approve it.

Your own server, your own domain
Your business data is not kept in a shared cloud. It sits on a server of your own, in your name, in Germany, the EU or Switzerland, or on your premises, with a data processing agreement (DPA, AVV in German) under Art. 28 GDPR.

Frequently asked questions
Does METLAGO replace our ERP system?
No. For companies with an ERP, we add to it where data entry is too slow or where Excel lists have grown up on the side. In smaller businesses, the digital office replaces a set of separate, often costly tools.
Do my staff have to learn new passwords and tools?
Field teams use Telegram, which they already know. The office gets a clean web interface on your own domain.
What does our tax advisor do?
We prepare all receipts and invoices, check that nothing is missing and hand over a well-sorted package. The bookkeeping itself and tax advice stay with your tax advisor, as before.
